California SPECIAL DELUXE COLLECTOR’S EDITION, FULLY REMASTERED SOUND, 16 PAGE FULL COLOR BOOKLET, 4,000 WORD ESSAY, RARE PHOTOS AND MEMORABILIA IMAGINE YOU are a mid seventies rock band from London. You get signed to a hip and happening label - Chrysalis Records. You’re debut album is recorded in Toronto with Bob Ezrin (Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd). The label pays for you to relocate to Los Angeles where you sit in the sun and record your second album, which unexpectedly produces a worldwide hit single, ‘Isn’t It Time’. Life is good and it can only get better, right? Well, not exactly... Cocky and full of self confidence the Babys recorded their third album ‘Head First’, produced by Ron Nevison (Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, Heart etc), only to be told by their label that it wasn’t, er, ‘what they were expecting’ and could they please go back and take another stab at it. It was a soul destroying moment and one that resulted in major upheaval, with founding member Mike Corby departing the band for good. Reluctantly, the band re-cut ‘Head First’ and, against all odds, continued their path to fame and fortune by producing yet another sizeable US hit single, with the classic ‘Every Time I Think Of You’, and touring with some of the biggest names in rock. Fronted by one of the world’s most talented vocalists, John Waite, 'Head First’ (released in 1978) is a remarkable album, from conception to execution, containing a brace of tracks that builds on the band’s blues rock roots to incorporate melody and sophistication tailor made for American rock radio." ♦ SHIPPING TO USA ONLY Buyer Pays Shipping 1st CD $3.99... each additional $1.50 CDs will only be combined with other CDs or DVDs To qualify for the combined discount, all items must be purchased together, paid for with 1 payment, and shipped all together in 1 shipment. Sweet Little Razor “LATE ’80S LOS Angeles was the breeding ground for a myriad of wannabe rock stars. Some made it big and some barely scraped by, and are now mostly remembered for a cornucopia of hair styles, garish clothes and snazzy cowboy boots. However, the few contenders who stood out from the pack were often musical combos who took their musical cues not from glam rock but from a more earthy influence. Bang Tango were one such act whose influences tugged bravely on the sleeves of a darker direction, like The Cult and Jane’s Addiction. Sure they were hard rockin’ but the overtones suggested that other musical forces were being utilized, much the same way as Love/ Hate, LA. Guns and Zodiac Mindwarp did. Signed to MCA/Mechanic Records the band issued this, their debut studio album, in 1989 to very positive, some might say ecstatic, reviews which hinted at greater things to come. Recorded in Texas and finished in LA. the album was produced by fledgling producer Howard Benson, who honed and forged a unique style that helped to pave the way for a solid placing on the all important Billboard chart, nestling just outside the top 50. The single ‘Someone Like You’ garnered solid radio and MTV support and positioned the band as ‘ones to watch’ for bigger and better things. With a unique hard edged sound, heavy on raw guitar playing and featuring immediately identifiable vocals from front man Joe Leste, this five piece band unleashed a number of super catchy, pocket rocket riffs that still sound vibrant and undated. Along with ‘Someone Like You’, tracks like ‘Attack Of Life’, ‘Breaking Up A Heart Of Stone’ and ‘Sweet Little Razor’ quite rightly stand loud, proud and different to other acts of the period.” ~ Master Of Mayhem Derek Oliver SHIPPING TO USA ONLY Buyer Pays Shipping 1st CD $3.99... each additional $1.50 CDs will only be combined with other CDs or DVDs To qualify for the combined discount, all items must be purchased together, paid for with 1 payment, and shipped all together in 1 shipment. How Many More Times - Live “ DURING THE late 1980s New York played host to a number of crucial hard rock contenders, including the Throbs, Smashed Gladys, Raging Slab and, of course, Circus Of Power. The latter’s debut album, although failing to set the charts on fire, had blown the proverbial roof off with its brazen mix of low-slung guitar worship and a surly attitude to rival the best of West Coast rivals Guns ‘N’ Roses. The perfect set-up, in fact, for album #2. Produced, like the debut album, by Daniel Rey and titled ‘Vices’ (for obvious reasons), Circus Of Power’s sophomore release is finely hewn from a similar block of tough granite. Big riffs peppered with throat ripping vocals atop huge blasts of guitar are the order of the day, all expertly inserted into some of the most combustible songs the band ever penned. Incredibly, despite universal praise, the album failed to propel them into the upper echelons of the hard rock elite, leaving the band floundering in shallow water on a label that couldn’t quite get to grips with such radically charged music. The band’s last hurrah for RCA was the release of a five track live EP recorded in New York (included here as bonus material) before agreeing to disagree with the label and moving on to the more welcoming arms of Sony. ‘Vices’ remains, however, an essential, overlooked classic of its kind, a record that has found its place with the passing of time.” Master Of Mayhem Derek Oliver SHIPPING TO USA ONLY Buyer Pays Shipping 1st CD $3.99... each additional $1.50 CDs will only be combined with other CDs or DVDs To qualify for the combined discount, all items must be purchased together, paid for with 1 payment, and shipped all together in 1 shipment. Smother Me ꟷꟷꟷꟷꟷꟷꟷꟷꟷꟷꟷꟷ “ THE GREAT LEVELLER in life is the mysterious arrival of Lady Luck. You can carry on investing time, experience and energy in anything but without a well timed appearance by the grand dame of serendipity you might as well whistle in the wind. That, unfortunately, was the case for Legs Diamond, one of the greatest, yet underexposed, bands of the 1970s. That they had the talent and the mandate to climb to the very heights of success, sadly, life decreed otherwise. Having recorded two sensational albums for well heeled Mercury Records, the band were casually cast adrift when sales figures revealed unexpected and disappointing results. But with deep resolve they opted to carry on and found a new home with independent label, Cream Records. Unfortunately, as things turned out it was not the saving grace they had hoped for but it did provide them with the opportunity to record yet another album that significantly added to their reputation. Issued in 1978, the record actually received well intentioned promotion and contained arguably one of their greatest tracks, namely ‘Underworld King’, a song that further bolstered their reputation as the American comparison to Deep Purple. Other highlights include ‘Come With Me’ and ‘Man At The Top’. It is an album of light and shade, clearly the result of behind the scenes influences, but at least the band’s heart and soul was still beating loud and clear, letting us know that they were still very much contenders to the throne.” ~ Master Of Mayhem : Derek OliverSHIPPING TO USA ONLY Buyer Pays Shipping $3.99 1st CD $3.99... each additional $1.50 CDs will only be combined with other CDs or DVDs To qualify for the combined discount, all items must be purchased together, paid for with 1 payment, and shipped all together in 1 shipment. Gary Wright ~ The Dream Weaver (1975) CD 2017 Rock Candy Records UK •• NEW ••

Gary Wright - The Dream Weaver CD 1975, 2017 Rock Candy Records GARY WRIGHT THE DREAM WEAVER AUDIO CD BRAND NEW FACTORY SEALED Rock Candy Records CANDY348 UPC | 1902957599646 1975, 2017 TRACK LISTING 01. Love Is Alive 02. Let It Out 03. Can't Find The Judge 04. Made To Love You 05. Power Of Love 06. Dream Weaver 07. Blind Feeling 08. Much Higher 09. Feel For Me “IT’S HIGHLY unlikely that you’d have wagered that a former member of early seventies hard rock band Spooky Tooth would resurface later that decade with a major selling solo album and an all persuasive, soft rock, hit single ‘Dream Weaver’. It was a remarkable achievement and one that elevated Gary Wright to a new audience, allowing him the space to develop a solo career that continues to this day. Born in the USA, Wright moved to the UK and joined Spooky Tooth at the suggestion of Island records Chief Chris Blackwell. It was a match made in heaven but, as these things often pan out, the band’s commercial appeal waned, leaving Wright with little choice but to return to the USA and contemplate a solo career. Securing a recording deal with Warner Bros. Records, he set about taping a series of demos with regular keyboards and a synthesizer. This combination of instruments produced a fascinating sound and one that he continued to pursue on the finished record. ‘The Dream Weaver’ album was issued in 1975 and spawned the enormously successful US #2 hit single ‘Dream Weaver’. It was an instant classic and a song that continues to be heard around the world to this day on radio, TV and in movies. Remarkably, the album also contained another stand out track, ‘Love Is Alive’, a similarly structured track built on synths and a funky back- beat. Dig deeper and you’ll find the surprising presence of guitarist Ronnie Montrose flexing his considerable muscle on ‘Power Of Love’.” ~ Master of Mayhem Derek Oliver SHIPPING TO USA ONLY Buyer Pays Shipping 1st CD $3.99... each additional $1.50 CDs will only be combined with other CDs or DVDs To qualify for the combined discount, all items must be purchased together, paid for with 1 payment, and shipped all together in 1 shipment.
