Published by on 5 de agosto de 2026 WES MONTGOMERY Movin' The Complete Verve Recordings 5-CDs & Book Limited Edition. Movin' Wes (which came out in '64 but hit #18 on the jazz charts in '67 following its rediscovery in the wake of his hit Bumpin' album) marked the beginning of Wes's Verve era. This period saw the octave-wielding guitar genius leap from jazz-scene favorite to pop-chart regular; of the eight LPs on these 5 CDs, four were pop hits. His guitar pairs beautifully with full orchestras and small groups alike (as well as the organ pyrotechnics of Jimmy Smith) as you hear the LPs Movin' Wes, Bumpin', Smokin' at the Half Note, Goin' Out of My Head, Tequila, California Dreaming and his famed collaborations with Smith, Jimmy & Wes: The Dynamic Duo and Further Adventures of Jimmy Smith and Wes Montgomery . A handsome square box houses Caravan; People; Movin' Wes Pts.1 & 2; Matchmaker; In and Out; Born to Be Blue; West Coast Blues; Bumpin'; Tear It Down; Just Walkin'; Misty; Willow Weep for Me; Portrait of Jennie; Oh, You Crazy Moon , and more from the most successful years of this jazz-guitar hero!
